Pride in Chicago. Michael and I make a nearly-yearly trip to Chicago to relax and enjoy pride. Watch our brushes with celebrity: Mr. Sulu, Gay Fun Show, and Judy Baar Topinka! Pearl Necklaces and good times for everyone!

Visit my new friend and doppelganger Justin, a gay dad and all around good guy. He rocks!

Are we now invisible? Has Pride become so boring that the Tulsa World can’t even be bothered to cover it? What I found, plus your chance to see the Tulsa Pride Parade in all it’s glory.

Are you ready to join the Army? June is the month for Gay Pride, July is for the Gay Games. Let’s make August the month for Gay Rights.

What do you call your in-laws/un-laws/out-laws? I’m confused sometimes by the language used to describe relationships in non-traditional families.

Elsewhere in today’s program, we talk about Jacob. Jacob was accused of doing something that I feel is worse than murder and should be punishable by the worst torture possible. He found his life spiraling out of control and into a nightmare scenario in the matter of a few short minutes. What would you do if you were accused of a heinous crime you didn’t commit?

What I did and can’t do for Pride. Just me on the porch on a lovely Thursday evening talking about life, satan’s phone number, and fondue. I’m getting ready for a short visit to Tulsa Pride 2006, and a weekend of work. We have some friends who are visiting, so I’m sure I’ll end up going out again this weekend. I’m getting too old to stay up after midnight.

[jf020] Perfect Family, Perfect Prop

Family as Prop in the US Senate. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) debates the Federal Marriage Amendment on the Senate Floor. He is proud of his family and it’s lack of divorce and gays. The rest of the world wonders why poverty is high, our soldiers are dying, and people can’t read.

I’m sorry for going off on another political rant, but I can’t just stand back and let this man speak for my state. There are so many more important things that need to be addressed than a ban on something that’s already illegal and has no hope of passing.

I originally found this through the Krebs Cast and was intrigued. Kelly started this challenge to show this picture on blogs during Pride month. Kelly says that Pride can be more than “nekkid men and getting crazy.” Adam says that “if hundreds of thousands of immigrants can rally together then why the hell can’t we?”

Free Skype Out for Free Speech. It’s easy and fast to call your Senators and tell them to vote NO on the Federal Marriage Amendment. Watch this vlog and see how little time it takes to stand up for your rights.

The Senate takes up the FMA on June 5th. Bush is going to be out in the Rose Garden pimping it. You need to take 3 minutes and make your own calls. Go to senate.gov and look up your Senators. You can also go to HRC.org and send a postcard. It’s EASY!
