I’m venting. I hope you don’t mind a little sarcasm as I complain about the screwed up things happening in my life this week. Don’t worry, I’m not going to give up my day job to start a career in acting. ![]()

My MacBook Pro is on it’s way back to me from AppleCare, so I don’t have my stuff together to post a vlog. Ugh. I hate passing up good exciting content.
George Bush signed the Pension Protection Act today which guarantees that unmarried people can inherit the retirement benefits of their partners - TAX FREE*. For example, Michael is the beneficiary of my 401(k) plan. Before this new law, when I died the money would have been withdrawn from my 401(k) as a lump sum, taxed, and counted as income for him. This also could have put him in a higher tax bracket and would have caused him to pay even more in taxes.
Michael and I had tapas tonight with Mom-in-Law. It was a nice end to a long hot day. The thermostat outside registered a high of 119 degrees. The weather reports put the high temp in the area between 107 and 110. The tree we planted earlier this summer is dead, even with Michael’s green thumb and TLC. But, if we are to believe the government, we shouldn’t care about the environment. Not scary enough, I guess.
I’ve been a little self-absorbed lately. All it took was a few pictures of limbless, dead, and war-ravaged children to snap me out of it. I talk about my wreck, Israel/Hezbollah, and Condi’s Peace Parade, plus the champion of School Prayer running for Governor.
