[jf032] Fly In/Fly Out

A little distraction from a trip to see Mom. The Annual Tulsa Regional Fly In was kicking off the day I decided to go take care of some family stuff with Mom. Who doesn’t like an air show that you take a tractor to and from?

As you can see from their logo below, it’s hard to navigate around the three buildings in Tulsa, the Teepee in the southern part of the state and the oil well near the panhandle.

Ooh… liked the music cue. What was that track?

Loved the old DC-3. I’m old enough to remember when they were state of the art (sadly…). I think I also recognized an old Steerman bi-plane, too, but I’m not sure. They still use the old Steermans up in this neck of the woods for ag-related flying.

Again, great vlog, Justin.

Xander - Thanks for reminding me…I forgot to put that in the show notes. The song is Skyliner by Charlie Barnet. It’s a great song that I had in my collection.

Tim - I just love planes. There is a bi-plane expo up here every summer as well. It’s a nifty way to spend an afternoon.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Justin
