Could we be any geekier? Michael bought a Wii today and tricked me into playing tennis with him. Now kids can get even fatter by playing virtual tennis instead of going outside and playing the real thing!

Watch this. Jim Inhofe is an ass. Although it sucks for my state to have both Senators in the minority, I am so glad this joker is getting kicked out of the Committee Chairman’s seat for Environment and Public Works. He has done more to hurt our state’s image than anyone in recent memory.
My favorite comment from the Think Progress post:
somewhere. deep in the midwest, there is a huge tent and a snake without its handler. Somebody give Mr. Inhofe a ride back to the revival!
2008 can’t come fast enough.
I’m walking to Starbucks to meet some friends for coffee. Come along with me and see some blurry images of Brookside, my neighborhood.
Craig, Michael and I insulated our houses this weekend with cellulose, a material that is 85% recycled products. It’s neat to see words from newsprint and identify grocery store bags in your insulation!

Since I’m in an election-inspired k-hole I’ve decided not to post about politics tonight. Instead, I am going to treat you to my 15 hour, er, minute video from my trip to NYC. If nothing else, it’ll put you to sleep. Enjoy!
I want to be a New York City boy (even if I am 30 now). Michael and I had a fantastic time in New York. Watch as I show you some of our vacation and talk about what I enjoyed most about the city.
Thanks to Aaron (my single, gay, hot, lawyer friend) and Adam (his roommate) for hosting us for part of the trip. Special thanks to Adam for helping us plan all the fun things we did.
Check out the rest of the pics from the trip at Flickr. Michael took most of them, so let him know if you like them by posting a comment below.
By the way, did I mention Aaron was single?
Programming Note: This video was shot for posting on 11/3. It was delayed due to my post on the ORU/Ted Haggard issue [JF035].

The American people overthrew their legislature yesterday. I am proud to be an American this morning.
The road ahead isn’t easy…the Dems need to set their plan, get it out there, and execute it. I’m not going to be easy on them, just because we come from the same party. They have to take action. I will be watching.
I’m sitting at home tonight, trying to avoid the news. I was reading Designing Content Switching Solutions from Cisco Press, but Michael is in a chatty mood and I wasn’t able to get through much of it. It’s a good book if you are into Cisco load balancing products. We’ll probably watch content that we have on the DVR (last week’s BSG, Gray’s Anatomy, etc.) for as long as we can hold out.
I hope change comes tonight. Otherwise, my own change starts tomorrow.
