I wonder if the non-Americans are laughing at us now after giving us a big “I-told-you-so”. They watched us bow to big oil lobbyists and the car industry’s wishes, as we voluntarily tore out our own railroad infrastructure, pretty much destroying any chance of developing any efficient long-distance transit or freight system for this country. But, we’re Americans. We’re supposed to be stoopid.

More to your point though, the whole fuel price thing? I doubt it would piss me off so much if I was earning $250,000 a minute.
