Hatred and Ignorance reared their ugly heads in Tulsa recently in the form of a virulent radio broadcast and the Religious Right’s protest of the annual Gay Pride festival.
The ignorant hosts of 1170 KFAQ’s morning show mock the deaths and memories of thousands of gays and lesbians at the hands of the Nazis, providing compelling audio to this post.
That audio is combined with video from protestors at Tulsa’s 25th Annual Pride Parade and Festival.
Both groups show that people everywhere can still be ignorant, intolerant, and hate-filled.

Did someone protest, or complain? What radio station is this from? To be honest I couldn’t listen I was so upset by this. I cannot believe that ‘nappy Headed Hoes’ gets someone fired, but this doesn’t'??? I am extremely disturbed by this.
Comment by jayT 06.29.07 @ 8:53 pmnever mind about what station - am emailing them now - sorry - long week.
Comment by jayT 06.29.07 @ 8:54 pmClearly, they don’t respect individuals unless they are white, heterosexual, right-wing Christians. I’m all for free speech, but this is really too much.
